A meeting between two artists

François-Paul Journe was looking for a brilliant and seasoned chef to revive the heritage arcade on Rue du Rhône.

Dominique Gauthier dreamed of a new challenge, a beautiful location to invest in Geneva after three decades in the kitchens of Le Chat Botté.

A mutual friend, who loved the watches of one and the cuisine of the other, brought them together. And the chemistry was immediate. Don’t they speak the same language, that of high standards, passion, and meticulousness? Together, they imagined an atmosphere, an exceptional place. Together, they designed a “chic bistro” with a sumptuous vintage setting, fine wines, and classy cuisine, the likes of which are hard to find at the end of Lake Geneva. From this meeting between two artists who appear to be worlds apart but are in fact very similar, “F.P.Journe Le Restaurant” was born. A restaurant where the finest in watchmaking, wine, and gastronomy come together.
