It’s actually quite simple: our top chef Richard Stöckli cooks with pure passion. As that’s not enough, behind the house he cultivates a lush garden of fruit, vegetables and herbs. So much of what we serve you comes from the garden or from our own cows on the mountain pasture.

In our Gourmetstübli, we concoct first-class culinary delights. No wonder!

Richard Stöckli has been awarded 16 points by Gault Millau, 3 toques and 1 star by Michelin. An amuse-bouche to start with: we create deliciously crispy potato chips from potato peelings. Rumor has it, they’re the best in the Bernese Oberland. And how about a crispy, roasted Hereford beef rib-eye steak, preserved on the bone for 28 days, for the main course?

If you like wine, you’ll love our wine list. Our cellar houses 500 top-quality wines, including 300 Swiss rarities. And because the best always comes at the end, Yvonne Stöckli was voted Sommelier of the Year in 2016.
